Campeasy Iceland

CampEasy is a campervan rental with a pickup at Keflavik airport. Campervan traveling offers you the freedom of visiting the places you want to see and you don’t have to worry about booking a hotel for the night.  You can find good and cheap camping places all over the country. 

Our policy is to keep it simply easy.
Our CampEasy camper vans are specially made for traveling around Iceland and are both comfortable and safe. Easy.
You‘ll be guided through every minute detail of the equipment and features of the car so you can operate it with ease. Simple.
Camping van is picked up at the airport and returned at the airport. Easy.
There is no mileage price or extra fees on the cars. Simple.
If you should encounter any problems or emergencies on the road we will always be available. Easy.

We take security seriously:
- CampEasy is fully licensed according to Icelandic laws to run and operate a car rental.
- CampEasy vans are checked by a professional mechanic before they are rented out. Every single one. Always.
- CampEasy vans are then checked every year by a specially licensed, third party inspection garage in accordance with Icelandic vehicle laws.
- CampEasy vans are equipped with safety equipment, a manual detailing the vehicle, safe travel tips and safety rules. As well as emergency and contact information.

This is our policy and we stand by it. It‘s simply easy (and safe, fun, reliable and all the other good stuff).

Campeasy Iceland Insurance

The lease sum/rental fee includes mandatory vehicle insurance, including liability insurance and accident insurance for the driver and the owner.

Third-party liability insurance will consist of the amount stipulated by Icelandic law at any given time.

The lessee can purchase separate accident (All-risks) insurance.

This accident/all-risks insurance does not cover:
a) intentional damage or damage due to gross negligence on the part of the driver,
b) damage resulting from the driver being under the influence of alcohol, stimulants or sedatives, or in any other way incapable of driving the vehicle in a safe manner,
c) damage due to race or test driving,
d) damage due to war, revolution, civil unrest, riots,
e) damage done by animals,
f) holes burned into seats, carpets, or mats,
g) damage affecting only wheels, tires, suspension, batteries, glass, radios, or loss by theft of parts of the vehicle and damage resulting from this,
h) damage caused by driving on rough roads to the vehicle’s transmission, drive, other parts that are in or attached to the chassis; damage to the chassis resulting from the vehicle scraping bottom on rough roads as a result of ridges being left by road graders; stones lodged in the road surface or on the shoulder of the road. The same applies to damage occurring when stones are thrown up, striking the underside of the vehicle during driving,
i) damage resulting from driving in places where vehicle traffic is banned, such as paths, tracks, banks of snow, ice, unbridged rivers or streams, beaches, places only accessible at low tide, or other trackless areas.
j) Damage caused by sand, gravel, ash, pumice, or other kinds of earth material being blown onto the vehicle.
k) If the vehicle is transported by sea, no compensation will be paid for damage caused by sea spray/seawater.
l) In other instances, reference is made to the general conditions for accident /All-risks insurance.
The lessee may purchase special gravel (GP) insurance and SCDW insurance.
